Score the risk of this height job before you start - plain-English, province-aware.

For small firms and sole proprietors doing roof, scaffold, tower or mast work who want a simple risk score that reflects Canadian fall-protection rules.

Fall-protection rules are set by each provincial / territorial OHS regulator. Selecting a province starts the scorer.

    What the law actually says

    • In Canada, fall protection is required on a construction site at 3 metres in every province (Alberta also at 1.2 m for permanent work areas), and at any height where a fall could be into machinery, water, an open pit, or hazardous materials. Check your province's OHS regulation.
