What this tool does
Estimates your total set-aside - federal + provincial income tax, CPP, and (in Ontario) the health premium - on your net self-employment income, for your province.
What the law actually says
- •Self-employed Canadians pay federal and provincial income tax plus both halves of CPP on net business income. Quebec runs its own provincial tax and QPP via Revenu Quebec. T1 is due June 15 for the self-employed; any balance owing is due April 30.
